So many people believe the the world will end in December 21st 2012. They believe this because of the Mayan calendar. The Maya's were a tribe that lived in south America, i think. They believe time is divided into cycles. The either 3rd or 5th calendar ends... guess when? That's right, 2012. It is called the Long Count Calendar. Some people think the world will end from a pole shift. However, a team of scientists discovered that a pole shift so fast cannot happen. i hope the world won't end 1n 2012, but i still don't believe it. However, that is not the only reason. Also, the sun will align with the center of the milky way, something that hasn't happened in 26,000 years or so. And to top it all of, there is a new John Cusack movie out, all about it, in which i plan to see soon. On The Science Chanel, they were playing a new show about it. It was mostly about The Mayan's. Like did you know that the Mayan's played a game where you had to try to get a ball into a ring about 7 or 8 feet high, using ONLY your knees? And that the captain of the winning team got to decapitate the captain of the losing team? Fun Fact: Mayan's chewed chicle, a kind of gum made from he sap of trees?
